How To Find Out If Baby Is Teething

As a parent, it’s important for you to know if your baby is teething to avoid any discomfort. Note that not all babies show signs of teething but some could be noticed as early as three months.

Excessive sucking or biting often shows the sign that baby’s first tooth is growing. If you’ll notice your baby is sucking toys, fingers, or other objects more often, this must be probably the sign that it’s soon teething. Drooling is also another sign that you pay attention to. You can gently pull baby’s mouth to see if there are bulging gums, especially around molars but make sure your hands are clean to avoid any bacteria entering your baby’s mouth.

In addition to physical symptoms, your baby’s behavior can also show signs of teething. Most common signs are: they get irritable and excessive crying. Though irritability and crying may affiliate with the feeling of being tired or hungry, this must also be the reason that baby is teething. If many attempts of calm but he/she still gets irritable, it can be a result of pain or discomfort.
